課程概述 |
The course will include
series of lectures on the
topics of reading skills,
the application of the
skills in target texts, and
the issue of literary
historiography. These are
heavy subjects. It is the
intention of the course
to make them interesting and
easy to understand. |
課程目標 |
The lectures and discussions
are to be geared towards two
goals. Firstly, they are to
familiarize the class with
European literary canons of
the specified period;
secondly, by the selected
readings and the progammed
lectures to enhance the
literary critical
sensitivity and
sophistication of the
class. |
課程要求 |
The class will have to do
quite a bit of reading. All
students taking the course
are encouraged to do the
assigned readings as
scheduled, and reread them
as many times as necessary
for getting the mainlines of
each text. In view of
individual difference in
literary and linguistic
acquition, each should find
out for herself/ himself how
many hours are needed on
weekly basis to keep pace
with the class schedule. |
